Helmes General Trading was established in 2011 by two shareholders; Ato Mesfin Gezu and his spouse W/O Helen Masresha. The company is engaged in multi-disciplinary businesses with the help of the professionalism, vast experience and financial strength of its shareholders.

Currently the company has 35 permanent employees and a total asset of Birr 52 Million. In the last five years our company achieved the following remarkable milestones;

completed the construction and owns a B+G+7 building around Bole Medhanialem area where Commercial Bank of Ethiopia opened its “Shala Akababi” branch;
is involved in the import of construction equipment/tools ;
provides water well drilling service with its drilling rig which can drill to a depth of 300meters;
conducted the detailed exploration and developed the quarries for the major row materials required for ceramic manufacturing; Kaolin and feldspar. The kaolin quarry is located 235 Km from AA in Hosanna town and the Feldspar quarry is located 155 Km from AA in Wolkite zone of Southern Nations and Nationalities People Region (SNNPR).

Mining

The mining operation started in September 2016. The feldspar ore is mined in open pit and will be converted to powder form in European type trapezium mill.
